Welcome Mat offers sport jujitsu and submission grappling in addition to Shingitai Jujitsu, judo, freestyle judo and sambo. Welcome Mat athletes have competed in sport jujitsu and submission grappling for many years with success.

SPORT JUJITSU

Sport Jujitsu is an exciting sport that involves punching, kicking, throws, takedowns and groundfighting. It is an ideal combat sport to learn effective self-defense. There are numerous organizations that conduct sport jujitsu competition and we have included this unique combat sport to our program at Welcome Mat.

SUBMISSION GRAPPLING

There are many forms of submission grappling or "grappling" and it is practiced by millions of people all over the world. Almost every culture has some form of grappling or wrestling.

Today, submission grappling is a popular combat sport with a variety of organizations promoting it.
